NICE TO MEET YOU
Jerica Lamar
is an award-winning U.S. Foreign Service Officer with 10 years of experience serving at U.S. embassies in Kenya, Jamaica, and Mexico and in Washington D.C. She is also a military spouse, a Peace Corps volunteer, community college/university educator, and Returned Peace Corps Volunteer.
Jerica understands firsthand the transformative power of education and global opportunities.
 After winning over $450,000 in scholarships to fund her own education, she founded The New College Perspective to help first-generation, second-generation, and underrepresented students access similar opportunities.  Jerica has been featured by the Fulbright Association for her work empowering students to pursue global education.
She has served on two education boards: the Robertson Foundation for Government and My Tribe Media. Â
